USDA Wants to Decrease Peanut Price Supports

I found this article about peanut price support at Macon.com. It seems that the USDA wants to cut the federal price supports for 80 percent of the peanuts grown in the U.S. by $7/ton. The plan includes an increase in price supports for several more expensive varieties of peanuts, but that does nothing for the majority of peanut farmers.
